We are looking for a Delegated Authority Account Manager (m/f) based in London. Please note this is an individual contributor role.
Your Team
The Delegated Authority & Portfolio Solutions team is expanding its presence in distribution channels across the UK Market and Region, overseeing key relationships for the wholesale and MGA/programs sector for all specialty lines of business. Our team manages delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios. We focus on governance frameworks, process improvement, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Head of Delegated Authority and Portfolio Solutions for Allianz Commercial UK, you will support the business in the operation and oversight of our delegated authority portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the relationship with one of our key account partnerships.
Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include
- Take ownership of the management of key account partnership - including full life cycle oversight.
- Act as key point of contact and support.
- Coordinate and chair/lead regular performance management meetings.
- Analyse MI and report findings and trends back through the required channels.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal stakeholder teams, e.g. (Underwriters, Claims, Compliance, Finance, Actuarial and Operations).
- Work with offshore resources to ensure all relevant data i.r.o. risk, premium and claims is collated and processed accurately.
- Prepare reports based on the above data for consideration by the business as part of the ongoing performance management process.
- Coordinate all aspects of the ongoing oversight of the MGA including due diligence, underwriter reviews and audit and follow up requirements.
- Support the delegated authority and portfolio solutions team in the management and oversight of the current book of business.
- Onboard new MGAs and facilities.
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Experience in stakeholder management and working with different departments to ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
- Experience in the London Market or Lloyd's environment, preferably in a Delegated Authority capacity.
- Ideally knowledge of the Lloyd's and London Market systems, bordereaux management principles and systems are an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the market, with a preferred background in the technical side of relationship management and delegated authority oversight.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and escalate queries.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise and multitask whilst staying focused on detail and quality of deliverables.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good data management skills and data interrogation capabilities.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced capabilities for Excel.
- A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
