The Royal School for the Blind Charity, Liverpool operates as both a SEN school for children and an adult social care setting, called Rushton Futures, for young adults with complex needs.

MINIBUS DRIVER

Ideal Start Date: Monday 10th November 2025

Salary: NJC SCP 2 – pro rata based on hours worked (£9,770.27 per annum pro rata without overtime)

Location: Church Road North, Wavertree, Liverpool L15 6TQ

Contract type: Term time, part time (17.5 hours per week during school term)

Contract term: Permanent

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday approx. 7.15am to 9am and 3.30pm to 5.15pm and Friday 7.15am to 9am and 1.00pm to 2.45pm.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with a clean D1 driving license and at least 5 years driving experience. The successful candidate will ideally be MiDAS trained and be able to evidence this training – though MiDAS training can be arranged if needs be. This position would be suitable for a reliable, responsible driver with a courteous manner. You should have a caring nature, be outgoing, non-judgmental and have the ability to work as part of a team.

The Charity employs 4 other drivers working different days and different hours (we are also an adult social care day facility and provide day trips out for young adults in this setting). Additional ad-hoc hours will likely be available to the successful candidate, paid at NJC SCP 2 (plus extra annual leave additional element), to cover driver absences and class trips.
