Position:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Machine Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role involves operating milling machines. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Manufacturing: Operate, program, and maintain manual and CNC laser machines and roll forming mills to fabricate high-precision components.
  • Technical Interpretation: Expertly interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accurate product specifications.
  • Setup and Optimization: Execute full machine setups, including tool selection and parameter adjustment, to achieve peak operational performance and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections using calipers, micrometers, and specialised measuring instruments to maintain strict quality standards.
  • System and Inventory Management: Utilise the internal computer system for the accurate booking and tracking of raw steel inventory and completed finished goods.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely achievement of production targets.

Requirements:

How You'll Do It:

  • Experience in machining, milling, or related manufacturing work
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (preferred but not always required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended period
