Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and busy kitchen at doh'hut/things in bread. 4/5 days a week Wednesday-Sunday 11-5pm (this may vary)

This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and hard working

Duties

  • Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
  • Support the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock rotation.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing down dining areas when required.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays if required.
