Main duties of the job

Are you an experienced CAD / BIM Technician? Would you like to work as part of a specialist team delivering accurate and meaningful technical information to the Estates, Facilities and Capital Development Department (EFCD) and wider UHS team (clinical & non-clinical)? If you are passionate about ensuring patient and staff safety throughout our Hospital site, then this role could be for you.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Alongside the usual MS Office skills, we are looking for a good communicator with the following attributes:

  • Degree in Built Environment, Engineering or Design-related subject, or similar formal qualifications backed up with relevant experience.
  • CAD qualification to intermediate/advanced level and experience with property, facilities and building-related systems.
  • Experience in the development/implementation of BIM systems to Level 2 or 3.
  • Knowledge of Planon, MICAD or other similar CAFM / IWMS systems.

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Built Environment, Engineering or Design related subject, or similar formal qualifications backed up with relevant experience
  • CAD qualification to intermediate/advanced level and experience with property, facilities and building related systems

  • Ability to create and interpret Engineering and Construction drawings
  • Sound working knowledge of MS365
  • Sound verbal and written communication

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of MICAD and other similar CAFM / IWMS systems
  • Experience in the development / implementation of BIM systems to Level 2 or 3.
