About the Role

As 
Founding AE / BDR
, you will own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to closing. You will work directly with the CEO and founders to drive growth, shape the sales playbook, and bring our AI-first finance automation platform to high-growth companies.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves to 
prospect, build relationships, and close deals
, while laying the foundation for a world-class GTM motion.

What You'll Do

  • Pipeline and Outbound:
     Create a steady flow of qualified opportunities through proactive outreach and persistence.
  • Full-Cycle Ownership:
     Manage the funnel end to end, including outreach, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Relationship Building:
     Build credibility with CFOs, founders, and finance leaders at venture-backed, high-growth companies.
  • Playbook Creation:
     Establish scalable outbound tactics and repeatable sales processes.
  • Feedback Loop:
     Bring structured feedback from prospects back into product and marketing.
  • Execution:
     Work side by side with founders to win logos and scale Round's GTM.

Who You Are

  • 3 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in fintech or SaaS.
  • Proven track record selling to CFOs, finance leaders, or founders.
  • Experience taking a product from Seed to Series B and beyond, driving multi-million revenue growth.
  • A hunter mindset, confident in prospecting, chasing, and closing without waiting for direction.
  • A hands-on operator who builds pipeline from scratch and owns the process end to end.
  • A builder mentality, resilient, resourceful, and ready to work directly with founders in a fast-moving environment.
  • A strong personal network of finance leaders and founders, and the confidence to use it.

Step 3: Short take-home task -
A practical exercise that helps us get to know how you think and work.

Step 4: Onsite presentation and team meetings -
You will come in to present your take-home work, collaborate with us on a short exercise, and meet the team and leadership.
