Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Kitchen Assistant. You will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery kitchen. Preparing meals for the nursery children during the hours of 9am-4pm Monday to Friday. We are open 51 weeks closing for 1 week at Christmas.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards

  • Assist with menu planning and development

  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards

  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred

  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
