Your new role:
Reporting to the Head of Group Risk & Compliance International here in London, you'll lead the Line 2 Risk function for our UK operations and play a key role in implementing the Fund's global business plans.
This is a leadership role with a strong focus on non-financial risk, ensuring our international operations align with the Fund's enterprise risk framework and uphold our Members First culture.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop the UK Risk team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor and delegate for the Head of Department on risk matters.
- Represent the team in the development of our new Risk Target Operating Model and revised Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Provide Line 2 risk services that support the Fund's international strategy.
- Drive the embedding of a sound risk culture across the London office and link all activities back to member outcomes.
- Oversee risk identification, assessment, and reporting for boards and committees.
What you'll bring:
- Hold an accreditation in Risk Management or be willing to obtain one after joining the Fund.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes, both locally and globally.
- Significant experience in non-financial risk management within financial services, ideally funds management or trading compliance.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and their practical application.
- Commercial acumen, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
- A relevant degree and deep understanding of investment management, pensions, and financial services.
