We are currently recruiting for a kitchen assistant/ cook to join our kitchen team at Caribbean DutchPot, to assist in creating wonderful dishes inspired by local and seasonal products. We are looking for a passionate staff who have a love for food and are looking to build their careers in the hospitality industry.

This family run establishment serves authentic Caribbean meals with a varied menu for vegans and vegetarians, and with full served all day. The ideal candidate will work well in a close-knit team and be a pro-active individual that is willing to learn and develop their current skills, as well as being dedicated to preparing a high standard of food.You will have to be able to be on your feet for long hours, of course appropriate breaks will be given

In addition you will hold or study for a level two certificate in food hygiene. We are happy to provide this training as necessary.

The job requires, cleaning the kitchen, washing up, recording food temperatures, assisting the chefs with prep etc.

Having experience in cooking Caribbean food is a bonus, however training will be given and the job isn't cooking primarily.

Please note, this is a PART TIME position. In addition you will need to be available to work during the holidays both on weekdays and weekends. You will however still receive appropriate time off.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
