Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and friendly qualified Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our high performing team. The ideal candidate will provide a high quality chairside support to our clinicians and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all patients at reception.
This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for helping others.
Reception duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and treatment histories.
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries regarding services, appointments, and finance applications.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.
- Handle billing and payment processes efficiently while addressing any patient concerns regarding their accounts.
Dental Nurse duties
- Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures, ensuring all correct instruments and materials are prepared.
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient.
- Maintain high standard of infection control, including cleaning and sterilising instruments and surgery areas.
- Ensure stock levels of material and consumables are maintained.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients during treatments.
- Follow all cross infection, health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic IT proficiency for managing appointment scheduling software and patient records.
- Previous experience in a dental setting.
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly.
- Confident and comfortable to be on social media.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
- A pro-active approach to problem solving and task management.
Desired
- Experience in high end or private dental setting.
- Customer service experience.
- Dental Implant Nursing experience/knowledge.
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Nurse (GDC registered).
