Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role located in Hoddesdon. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, coordinating team members, and ensuring excellent customer service. Key tasks include managing stock control, assisting with sales and operational planning, mentoring team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership and team coordination, with an ability to motivate and support staff
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proficiency in stock control and inventory management
  • Knowledge of building materials, roofing, landscaping, or related industries (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic IT and administrative skills, including familiarity with relevant software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced on-site environment
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
