Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with solution architects to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices.

You will be responsible for translating high-level architecture designs into technical implementations, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring smooth CI/CD delivery pipelines across environments.

Salary: £50,000 pa,
depending on experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in
computer science
,
Information Technology
, or a related field.

Certifications (preferred) such as:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years
    of hands-on experience in
    DevOps
    or
    Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
    .
  • Proven experience managing environments in
    AWS
    and
    Azure
    (multi-cloud setups).
  • Strong knowledge of
    CI/CD
    tools – Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy.
  • Proficient in
    Terraform
    and
    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Kubernetes
    (deployment, scaling, monitoring, and security).
  • Experience with
    Fivetran
    or similar data integration tools.
  • Solid understanding of
    networking
    ,
    security
    , and
    cloud governance
    principles.
  • Scripting experience with
    PowerShell
    ,
    Bash
    , or
    Python
    .
  • Familiar with
    Git-based workflows
    and version control best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with architects and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with
    Solution Architects
    to understand infrastructure designs and convert them into technical deliverables.
  • Build, configure, and manage
    multi-cloud environments
    (AWS & Azure).
  • Develop
    infrastructure as code (IaC)
    using
    Terraform
    for reusable, scalable, and consistent environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain
    CI/CD pipelines
    using
    Jenkins
    ,
    GitHub Actions
    , and
    Octopus Deploy
    .
  • Manage and orchestrate containerised applications using
    Kubernetes
    and associated tools (Helm etc.).
  • Automate integrations and data workflows using
    Fivetran
    and related services.
  • Implement best practices for
    monitoring
    ,
    logging
    ,
    security
    , and
    cost optimisation
    across cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex deployment and infrastructure issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to streamline release processes and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of architecture designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
