London, Greater London, United Kingdom Botz Innovation Full time £60,000 - £100,000 per year

Your mission

Botz is a well-funded, scaling startup founded by a team of successful serial entrepreneurs. Currently in stealth mode ahead of our public launch next year. Our design values centre on translating complex data into meaningful insights and creating AI-driven, personalised experiences that feel intelligent, intuitive and premium.

Your profile

We're looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to take our existing MVP and beta product to the next level; crafting seamless, data-rich experiences that delight users and communicate powerful insights simply.
You'll work closely with our founding team, product, engineers and data scientists, to shape how users interact with the Botz app and smart wearable ecosystem. This role blends hands-on design execution with the opportunity to influence design direction and product strategy.
We're seeking someone who thrives in high-agency environments, loves solving complex problems through design, and is excited by the challenge of building AI-first, next-generation interfaces.

What You'll Do
  • Design and evolve the user experience and interface for our mobile application, ensuring a seamless, frictionless journey from start to finish. Collaborate cross-functionally to bring these designs from concept to implementation.
  • Specific focus on (1) working with data science and clinical teams to visualise complex data - turning raw data, metrics and insights into clear, meaningful and beautiful design components, and (2) Apply principles of behavioural design to create engaging, motivating and trustworthy user experiences with immediate upfront value for acquisition and ongoing meaningful value for retention.
  • Design AI and adaptive interfaces. We are excited to be leveraging generative and predictive technologies to make our experiences more dynamic, personalised, and intelligent.
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
  • Proven experience designing consumer-grade digital products
  • Expertise in Figma, with strong end-to-end design skills
  • Strength in:
    • Journey mapping & personas: visualising and articulating end-to-end user journeys.
    • Data storytelling & visualisation: translating user data into intuitive and beautiful visual components, in collaboration with data and clinical experts.
    • Design systems & component libraries: building scalable, coherent visual frameworks.
    • Behavioural design:  applying motivation and feedback principles to drive engagement and trust.
    • Designing for AI and adaptive interfaces: presenting recommendations and insights in novel interactive ways that feel seamless, helpful and human.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A design portfolio showcasing visually polished, user-centred and insight-driven work.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with designing health, wellness or performance spaces and products (initial target group is runners, with further clinical applications in future)
  • Familiarity with user research and testing practices.
  • Understanding of design-to-dev handoff, responsive design, and platform guidelines (iOS/Android).
  • Awareness of micro-interactions and motion design to enhance engagement.
  • Light familiarity with healthcare design standards or regulatory design considerations.

Why us?

Join us in designing next-generation AI-driven experiences that transform how users interact with health and performance data; creating products that turn complex information into meaningful, empowering insights and connect seamlessly with our technology to optimise performance, wellbeing, and longevity.

You'll be joining a fast-moving, ambitious team shaping the frontier of wearable AI and intelligent health design.
