Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's needs.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership abilities to guide activities and support fellow staff members.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles to effectively engage children in learning through play.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
