Part-Time Nanny
Hello I'm a busy female entrepreneur based in Poole, and I'm looking for a kind, reliable and experienced nanny/family assistant to join our little household. I have one lovely 4-year-old child and a small, friendly dog — and I'd love to find someone who can help make our afternoons and evenings run smoothly.
This role would suit someone warm, proactive, and confident, juggling both childcare and light household duties — someone who enjoys creating calm, happy routines for children and takes pride in keeping things organised at home.
About the Role:
Your afternoons will start at 3pm, giving you time to help around the house before the school run.
A typical day might include:
- Light housekeeping and meal prep — laundry, tidying, and organising.
- School pick-up around 4:30pm.
- Fun and engaging playtime after school, followed by dinner and winding down.
- Creating and maintaining a calm, consistent bedtime routine to help the evening flow smoothly.
There will also be the occasional bit of admin (like booking holiday clubs or play dates), and some weekend or ad-hoc hours may be available by agreement.
About You:
- You're a caring, positive and experienced nanny who enjoys nurturing young children.
- Confident in creating routines, especially around mealtimes and bedtime.
- Organised, reliable, and happy to help keep the home running smoothly.
- Comfortable with dogs and daily pet care.
- Trustworthy and good at taking initiative.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' childcare experience (ideally with preschool-aged children).
- Enhanced DBS check (current or willing to obtain).
- Driving licence
- Pediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Right to work in the UK.
Bonus points for:
- Ofsted registration (voluntary or full)
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification
- Safeguarding training
What's on Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience).
- Warm, respectful, and relaxed home environment.
- Potential for extra hours during weekends or holidays.
- Opportunities to travel with the family on trips and holidays.
- A fulfilling role where you'll be valued and feel like part of the family's routine.
If this sounds like the kind of role you'd enjoy, I'd love to hear from you
If you are immediately available, please send your CV, references, and a short note about why you'd be a great fit.
