About us

The Black Bear is a family-run pub located on the banks of the River Avon in the bustling town of Tewkesbury. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality real ale to our customers, as well as providing an exceptional environment for the community to come together and enjoy the great atmosphere we strive to create. We achieve this by hosting live music every weekend, featuring bands from various backgrounds, as well as other community events throughout the week. Our prime objective is to bring as many people together as possible while serving the highest quality products.

Role Description

Creating a welcoming environment begins with our dedicated staff. As a member of the floor team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operation of the bar. This includes collecting and washing glasses, restocking supplies, and preparing non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee.

We are seeking driven, friendly, and diligent individuals who excel in customer facing roles. These qualities are essential to providing the highest quality service to our guests. We will be employing people who are under 18 as anyone over the age of 18 would be employed as bar staff, which would be under a seperate advert.

Experience & Key Skills

No experience is required for this role. We would be looking at your character mostly, and in particular a demonstration of dilligence, work ethic, friendlyness and the willingness to work.

Pay: From £8.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Tewkesbury GL20: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
