Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Provide detailed product information and demonstrate features when necessary
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
  • Upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Manage stock levels, organise merchandise, and restock shelves as required
  • Assist with organising promotional events and seasonal displays
  • Ensure the sales floor remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
  • Support team members with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth store functioning

Skills

  • Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in English and Spanish, are highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and stock counts
  • Proficient phone etiquette when dealing with customer inquiries or follow-ups
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully without pressuring customers
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays
  • Good organisational skills to maintain an orderly sales environment
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
