About us:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie at an innovative conference and events venue in Birmingham city centre. This is a family friendly role, with the majority of our business being during office hours, and the venue is closed at Christmas. There are some evenings and weekends.

about the role and you:

The successful candidate will be passionate about being a part of a proactive, self motivated team and providing great food and service.

Will understand the importance of creating a welcoming and friendly experience for our clients, achieving our mission statement 'customer first'.

Will have first class culinary skills, with high attention to detail and care about presentation and the food and service being delivered. Food provided must be to the highest standard.

The role will include compliance with all health, safety and food hygiene obligations, including record keeping. Ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and kitchen practice.

Menu planning, food costing, stock control and ordering.

Maintain a high standard of personal dress and hygiene

Work within the budgets set using nominated suppliers.

Food Safety Level 3 desirable.

Born as 'The Orange Studio' in 1999 we started with our award-winning Birmingham location and just 5 meeting rooms but it's safe to say we've grown a lot since then. We became thestudio in 2006 and we are now an independent company, owned and run by the same team since the beginning but now having grown to 46 meeting rooms across 4 locations around the UK.

Though we've grown a lot our friendly, people focused ethos and culture very much remains at our heart. It's important to us that everyone that attends one of locations feels welcome and looked after. We're not a large corporate chain and we're really proud of that. We work hard. We be ourselves. We have fun.

We're passionate about giving our clients the best experience and really care about getting things right. Our aim is to exceed expectations so it goes without saying that we have a friendly, welcoming, client focused team at the forefront of everything we do.
