About the role:

We're on the lookout for a knowledgeable Carbon Accounting Specialist with hands-on experience in gas (GHG) emissions measurement and management to join our growing team supporting Ecologi's customers.

Ecologi Zero is a powerful software platform we've designed to help companies measure, reduce, and report their GHG emissions. As more businesses turn to Ecologi for their climate strategy needs, we have a brilliant opportunity to join our team to support our customers on their climate journeys.

If you have 3+ years of experience in corporate carbon accounting – perhaps through sustainability consulting in a corporate environment, working within an in-house sustainability team or working for another climate-tech startup – we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll work directly with our clients, helping them calculate, understand, and report their GHG emissions as they embark on their journey to decarbonise their operations.

The day-to-day:

  • gas accounting: coordinate and deliver technical GHG accounting work across multiple client accounts, providing services and advice to assist clients in the calculation, monitoring, target-setting, and reduction of their GHG emissions.
  • Report development and communication: develop detailed client reports aligned with the relevant standards and regulations, from simple SECR, and PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plans to enterprise level full scope GHG inventory reporting. Write and contribute to whitepapers, methodology documentation, and support delivery of reports and educational materials for customers.
  • Client engagement and advisory: support clients through their customer journey from onboarding through to delivery of GHG inventories, and provide recommendations for targeted emissions reduction activities.
  • Product development: contribute to the development of the Ecologi Zero emissions calculation tool. Collect and share customer feedback and provide subject matter expertise to support our Product Managers in prioritising functions and features of the software product to enhance its calculation accuracy, usability and efficiency. You'll be integrated within the Ecologi Zero product development team, collaborating closely with Commercial, Brand, Engineering and our Product Managers on the future of the software product.
  • Industry representation: attend face-to-face conferences and events, attend and deliver online webinars, and represent Ecologi by contributing your knowledge to various relevant industry working groups and/or advisory groups, as required by the business.
  • Internal stakeholder collaboration: proactively contribute to the goals of the Impact team, working alongside our Carbon Accounting team, with our experienced Climate Strategy leaders and liaising with colleagues involved in climate funding and nature restoration to develop our end to end science aligned services. Collaborate effectively with Product & Engineering, Commercial, Marketing and Brand teams to constantly develop products, services, and content that meet client needs.
