About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist help define and establish the foundational SEO structure for a new website project. This role would be ideal for someone with experience collaborating with strategic and technical agency teams, with demonstrable experience building and implementing modern, best practice SEO from the ground-up.

You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure the site is designed and structured in a way that supports strong search performance, scalability, and user experience from day one.

Overview of key deliverables for this project

  • X1 Technical Audit (slide deck)
  • Research and produce a detailed technical audit of an existing WordPress website that provides a benchmark metrics for current SEO performance, providing contextual recommendations and optimisation opportunities – in order of priority.
  • X1 Keyword Strategy Report
  • Utilise SEMRush (or equivalent platform) to create a keyword strategy report aligned to search intent, relevance, and competitiveness, tailored specifically to the strategy and desired direction of their brand/market.
  • Including an on-page audit of key category pages (i.e. product, service, and article pages, etc.)
  • X1 Final SEO Strategy Slide Deck
    (Recommendations and Handover)
  • Includes the creation of a small handover document to ensure client teams understand how to manage, integrate, and scale their SEO practices and workflows in a way that makes sense for their current resources.
  • Capable of implementing these changes in line with keyword strategy report / technical audit

What you will bring

  • Ability to produce clear, comprehensive reports/decks that clearly outline issues, opportunities, and areas for optimisation.
  • Understanding of how to research and produce clear reports for keyword strategies within platforms like SEMRush (or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of effective site architecture that supports both user journeys and search engine indexing.
  • Experience of working across a range of CMS, bonus points for WordPress.
  • Collaborate with UX teams on finalising the sitemap, detailing page hierarchy, purpose, and relationships.
  • Able to showcase successful work examples of previous work you have conducted, audit reports, keyword mapping sheets, and/or structural recommendations.
  • Able to develop content brief templates that reflect the SEO strategy and site structure and provide oversight on content-authoring to ensure accurate implementation.

About You

  • 3–4+ years of experience in SEO strategy, site architecture, or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of technical and on-page SEO best practices.
  • Comfortable translating technical SEO insights and actions to non-technicals.
  • Confident in presenting to both internal and client teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing your own timelines and priorities.
