Infusion Documentation

Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization.
Ownership for creating and updating Production documentation such as Production Work Instructions (PWI), Process and product inspection (PII) documents, and update the generic inspections in our QDA system standards. The department shall also maintain PFMEA you will get most of the input from process engineers.
There will be between 1-2 Documentation engineers working with documentation Manufacturing processes. The whole Infusion department will consist of 10-16 high educated engineers or equal education, and they will be divided into 5 teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support and Training.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor (workers, quality and process teams) within lay-up operations to ensure updated documentation is always available on the shop floor
  • Be loyal to the documentation principles described (Being an engaged part in getting feedback from shop floors and lay-up team on the function / quality of the documentation delivered, perform in internal quality check of the documentation ad well as internal maturity check of the documentation up against our documented criteria described, keep stakeholder up to date on documentation lead time and be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability)
  • You will take learning from modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems
  • Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • GB Lean or courses in Technical Writing or Communication
  • 5 years experience working in similar roles
  • Able to create process flow and establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
  • Know Control plans and have worked in a data driven organization
  • Facilitated optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox also mentioned above

  • Good writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information
  • Technical knowledge: Especially important for shop floor documentation, which may involve machinery, production processes, or software systems. But also ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
  • You are interested in spending time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
  • You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
  • You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
  • You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
