What is the job role?

We have an opportunity for two enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years / KS1 Teaching Assistants who are passionate and committed to work with our amazing children and staff.

Who are we looking for?

You will be a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant who is committed to providing an exciting and inspiring curriculum for our Early Years and KS1 pupils.

Candidates should have:

  • A commitment to make a difference to children's lives through education.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years / National curriculum
  • NVQ / NNEB Level 3 in Child Development or Early Years or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding
  • The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups of children, teachers, parents and other members of staff
  • A sympathetic approach to parents and an understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers and other members of staff
  • The ability to accept guidance and direction from teachers
  • The ability to use own initiative
  • The ability to adapt to differing environments within EYFS / KS1 and to the needs of different children
  • A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
  • Previous experience of working in an Early Years' or KS1 setting and knowledge and experience of SEN would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A dedication to actively contribute to school life and the wider community.

  • A commitment to your own professional learning, which is supported by a dedicated leadership team.
