London, Greater London, United Kingdom Inside Job Productions CIC Full time £20,000 - £40,000 per year

Join a national campaign to support inclusive hiring Help with social media, PR, and events to share stories, tools, and films that give people with convictions a fair chance in the workplace.

What difference will you make?

  • You'll help break down barriers for people who deserve a second chance

By supporting this campaign, your work will directly challenge the stigma faced by people leaving prison. The content you help promote, including films, stories, and events will humanise individuals with convictions and show the real value they bring to the workplace. Your efforts will help shift public and employer attitudes, giving people a fair opportunity to rebuild their lives.

  • You'll influence employers at scale

Through communications, PR, and marketing, you'll help reach thousands of organisations across the UK. Your work will encourage HR teams, hiring managers, and business leaders to review their recruitment practices and ultimately hire more fairly and inclusively. This is tangible, measurable change with the power to transform workplace culture nationwide.

  • You'll support a campaign with national reach and credible partners

The campaign is backed by the CIPD Trust and delivered by Inside Job Productions, giving it authority, visibility, and genuine impact. Your contribution will be part of a high-profile national initiative that combines documentary films, real stories, employer toolkits, and regional events. You'll be helping drive a movement, not just a project.

  • You'll directly help create real employment opportunities

Every employer who rethinks their hiring practices because of this campaign opens doors for people who are often shut out of the job market. By helping promote these messages, you'll contribute to real jobs, real financial stability, and real second chances.

  • You'll strengthen communities and reduce reoffending

Employment is one of the biggest factors in reducing reoffending. By helping employers see the benefits of inclusive recruitment, you'll be supporting safer communities and helping people move forward with dignity and stability.

  • You'll amplify powerful, authentic stories

You'll help bring high-quality films and lived-experience voices to audiences who need to hear them. These stories have the power to change minds and you'll be part of the team that gets them in front of decision-makers.

  • You'll build your own skills while contributing to social justice

This role offers hands-on experience in media, marketing, events, and PR. You'll be involved in a professional campaign with national influencers, partners, and stakeholders. But above all, you'll gain the satisfaction of knowing your work is creating genuine social impact.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a proactive and creative volunteer to help deliver a national campaign promoting inclusive hiring for people with convictions. This is your chance to use your skills to make a real social impact.

What We're Looking For

  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative team player with an eye for detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive topics with empathy.

  • Comms, PR, or marketing experience, including social media, event promotion, or media outreach.
  • Content creation skills copywriting, graphics, or video editing.

  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments (where appropriate), and flag meaningful interactions.
  • Identify relevant hashtags, influencers and supportive campaigns to align with.
    1. Content Development
  • Draft blog posts, case studies and employer stories for IJP/CIPD Trust websites.
  • Interview employers who already hire former prisoners and produce compelling written case studies.
  • Turn longer written reports into accessible summaries or shareable graphics.
  • Help refine messaging to ensure it's evidence-based, destigmatising and employer-centric.
    1. Newsletter & Email Comms
  • Draft email updates for partners, supporters, and participating employers.
