About the role

We are seeking a high calibre Postdoctoral Research Associate to play a key role in understanding how GLP-1 therapies can improve the health of people with lung conditions. The successful candidate will help lead complex observational studies.

What you would be doing

The successful candidate will be leveraging large datasets from electronic health records. The work will involve data cleaning, finessing study design, problem solving day-to-day data issues, running and creating analysis algorithms, and interpreting findings within a clinical context.

What we are looking for

• You will have a PhD in epidemiology or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research experience.
• You will have conducted as first author and published high quality observational studies using routinely collected data
• Experience of designing and analysing data obtained from electronic healthcare records
• Experience in publishing and presenting studies using state-of-the-art observational study design and statistical analysis
• Knowledge on the clinical management of respiratory conditions and type-2 diabetes
• Ability to organise own work with minimal supervision, use initiative and take responsibility
