We are currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Transport Planning team in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in our growth agenda and lead a team of seasoned transport planners that have been long established in the region.
Reporting directly to Transport Director Nigel Fern, who is widely regarded as one of the region's leading land development specialists you will take a key role in shaping and leading the transport strategy across projects.

Our Northampton office is located in the centre of the England's Economic Heartland growth area and is providing leading consultancy work on many of the major residential and commercial development sites, with many of our leading clients based locally.
The Location:
Set in a beautiful and unique office environment, our team leads on a multitude of exciting projects for a wide range of clients from large mixed-use, residential or commercial development projects through to smaller redevelopment sites. Coupled with a fast-paced team environment, this opportunity is well suited to an experienced Senior Associate Transport Planner who is looking for an exciting new challenge.

You will play a key leadership role within our team overseeing projects from early concept through to successful delivery, strengthening client relationships, and supporting a diverse portfolio of regional and national schemes. You'll mentor and guide junior colleagues, ensuring the effective production of high-quality transport assessments, travel plans, modelling work and environmental assessments. Working closely with our interdisciplinary network of engineers, scientists, designers and planners, you'll help shape and deliver impactful development and infrastructure projects across the region.
A critical part of your success will be your contribution to the team's strategic growth and direction. Working with Directors and fellow Associates across our technical disciplines, you'll help define future priorities, diversify our client base, secure new opportunities, and ensure our practice remains at the forefront of consultancy and innovation in the sector.

About You:
You will be an experienced transport planner with a broad understanding of the full transport planning discipline, ideally with expertise in land development projects.
You will bring a proven track record of leading teams and delivering effective, high-quality transport planning solutions.
With a strong client-facing approach and a proactive, can-do attitude, you will be confident in presenting complex ideas and project concepts to colleagues, clients and stakeholders at all levels.
You'll also bring a genuine interest in the future of transport planning particularly in the context of digital innovation and the transition to a low-carbon society.
Above all, your passion for the profession and your commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for clients will be key to your success in this role.
Qualifications:
Degree-qualified in transportation, geography, civil engineering, planning, economics or a related field.
