Are you at the start of your IT, Cybersecurity, or Electrical Engineering career and curious about the world of Operational Technology? Do you want to help protect industrial systems from cyber threats while learning from experienced OT professionals?

We're looking for a Junior OT Engineer to join a dynamic team in Selby, supporting the security and resilience of critical operational technology environments.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist in monitoring OT systems and security solutions, learning to identify potential threats
  • Support vulnerability assessments and incident response activities under guidance from senior engineers
  • Help maintain security documentation, including assessments, incidents, and remediation actions
  • Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams to understand OT environments and cybersecurity practices
  • Learn and contribute to OT-specific cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Gain exposure to industry standards and regulations such as IEC62443, NIS, CAF, OG86, and HSE
  • Participate in security assessments, penetration testing, and hands-on OT projects with mentorship

About you:

  • Early-career professional, recent graduate, or someone looking to transition into OT/Cyber
  • Background in IT networks, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Interest in industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and OT security
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn
  • Collaborative attitude, able to work across teams and share knowledge
