About the Role

You'll take end-to-end responsibility for the design, integration, and support of electrical systems on vessels ranging from 6 to 30 meters. This is a hands-on, design-focused position—ideal for engineers who thrive on seeing their concepts through to installation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for new vessel builds (6–30m)
  • Upgrade and modify existing marine electrical systems
  • Integrate onboard electrical payloads and specialized systems
  • Prepare detailed system plans and documentation for manufacturing
  • Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical works
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems

What We're Looking For

  • BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering (or related)
  • 5+ years' experience designing marine electrical systems (not just field service)
  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
  • Experience with electrical load calculations, schematics, and marine installations
  • Familiarity with class-approved vessels highly desirable

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 3D design software (Rhino3D or similar)
  • (Note: Most applicants have AutoCAD; 3D design experience is a strong differentiator)
  • E-Plan electrical design software
  • NMEA2000 network integration
  • Electrical systems troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Integration of specialized marine payloads
