Position Overview

They are seeking an experienced
Head of Organisational Development / Chief of Staff / Head of Talent
to take on a broad role which partners with the CEO and leadership team to shape the firm's people strategy, culture, and organisational effectiveness.

This is a senior leadership role, blending strategic oversight with operational delivery. The successful candidate will drive initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, optimise team performance, and embed a culture of accountability and excellence across the firm. You will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team—translating strategic goals into tangible organisational outcomes.

The role is
London-based and requires a strong on-site presence
, with
some occasional travel to Tokyo
to engage with global leadership and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior management to define and implement the firm's organisational development and people strategy.
  • Lead initiatives around
    leadership development, performance management, and team effectiveness
    .
  • Drive accountability within teams—ensuring objectives, deliverables, and performance standards are clear and met.
  • Advise leadership on organisational design, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Work closely with department heads to
    foster a high-performance culture
    grounded in collaboration, transparency, and ownership.
  • Oversee key strategic projects and ensure cross-functional alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Enhance communication and engagement across departments to ensure clarity of mission and strategic direction.
  • Act as a sounding board and trusted advisor to the CEO on strategic, cultural, and personnel matters.
  • Represent leadership in internal and external forums, promoting the firm's values and vision.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive senior-level experience in
    organisational development, transformation, or Chief of Staff / Senior HR or Talent Acquisition roles
    within financial services.
  • Proven success in leading organisational change and developing leadership capability.
  • Strong background in
    people strategy, performance culture, and talent acquisition and optimisation
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable to high standards.
  • Resilient, commercially minded, and capable of making tough decisions when required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple strategic mandates simultaneously.
