Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master to lead Agile teams within a complex enterprise software environment. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile practices, ensure effective project execution, and promote continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall. The Scrum Master will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals, leveraging tools such as Jira, VersionOne, TFS, and Microsoft Project. A solid background in IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS), databases (SQL, Oracle), and SDLC processes is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure Agile best practices are followed.
- Remove impediments that hinder team progress and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Coordinate with Product Owners to manage backlogs and prioritize work based on business value.
- Track project progress using project management software such as Jira, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Promote adherence to Agile frameworks like SAFe and Kanban while integrating Waterfall and other methodologies as needed.
- Support requirements gathering, analysis skills development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and test case management.
- Assist in release management, project scheduling, and program management activities across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts in IT governance, disaster recovery planning, and IT infrastructure integration within projects.
- Foster effective communication among stakeholders at all levels and negotiate project scope or timeline adjustments when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and project delivery quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in enterprise software development environments.
- Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban; experience with Waterfall preferred.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools including Jira, VersionOne, TFS, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS; understanding of IT infrastructure components is advantageous.
- Experience working with databases such as SQL and Oracle; familiarity with requirements gathering and analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through SDLC processes including test-driven development (TDD), user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, and project implementation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation; leadership qualities essential for guiding teams through change initiatives.
