The Role: Social Media Content Executive
Join British Airways as a Social Media Content Executive and help shape the way we engage with millions of followers worldwide. This exciting role sits within our Corporate Affairs team and is responsible for delivering exceptional content that powers our social media strategy and strengthens the BA brand globally.

What You'll Do

  • Create and publish high-quality content across British Airways' social media channels, delivering compelling messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with influencers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective exposure on owned and earned platforms.
  • Support the development and execution of integrated social media campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media to amplify our global PR and marketing communications.
  • Capture and edit creative content, including images, video, and animations, staying ahead of digital trends to keep our channels fresh and engaging.
  • Provide insightful social media analytics to inform decision-making across the airline.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all content aligns with our tone, values, and strategic direction.
  • Advise and support colleagues across marketing, customer engagement, and corporate communications to align messaging and maximise impact.
  • Manage community interactions across social media platforms, fostering a positive and responsive presence.
  • Evaluate campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience managing social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), with high levels of engagement.
  • Strong skills in photography, videography, and editing.
  • Deep understanding of social media, PR, marketing, and digital measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated success creating, analysing, and optimising content strategies.
  • Background in communications, public relations, or marketing, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
