Job Description - Cook
We are looking for a reliable and capable cook to join our catering team at Elsham Golf Club. The role will involve preparing and serving food for members, guests, and functions. The successful candidate should be comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, with the ability to manage kitchen operations when required. Strong communication skills and a friendly approach to members are essential. Pay rate dependent on experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard across daily service and club events and functions
- Work independently at times, with the ability to manage kitchen operations when required
- Assist with stock control and ordering of supplies
- Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, safe and compliant with all food hygiene safety regulations
- Support larger events and functions by working collaboratively with team members
- Communicate clearly with guests and members when needed, representing the club with a professional and approachable manner
- Maintain flexibility to cover a variety of shifts, including some evenings and weekends
Skills & Attributes
- Previous cooking/catering experience essential
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, reliable, and adaptable
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards.
