What You'll Do
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function within a busy corporate environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, preparing payment runs, reviewing staff expenses, maintaining ledgers, supporting month-end procedures, liaising with internal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting audits, contributing to system improvements, and participating in ad hoc projects. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative approach. You will be relied upon for your dependability in managing high-volume workloads while fostering positive relationships both internally and externally. Your commitment to accuracy will help maintain robust financial controls while your enthusiasm for teamwork will contribute positively to the overall culture.

What You'll Bring
To excel as an Accounts Payable Assistant within this organisation, you will bring extensive hands-on experience gained over several years in accounts payable roles. You possess strong interpersonal skills that allow you to connect easily with colleagues across departments as well as external partners. Your technical proficiency spans key accounting software platforms along with advanced Excel capabilities. A thorough understanding of VAT regulations ensures you operate compliantly at all times. While formal qualifications such as AAT are welcomed, your commitment to personal development is equally important. Above all else, your dependable nature makes you an invaluable member of any team, someone who supports others generously while striving for excellence every day.
