  • Ensuring all marketing and advertising outputs meet legal, compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., ASA, CAP Code).
  • Liaising with legal advisors, clients, and external partners to resolve any contractual or rights issues.
  • Managing usage rights, renewals, and compliance timelines for campaigns and digital content.
  • Collaborating with producers, creatives, and project managers to ensure deliverables align with contractual obligations and timelines.
  • Advising internal teams on best practice regarding intellectual property, data protection, and advertising standards.
  • Tracking and managing business affairs budgets related to production, usage, and third-party costs.
  • Developing and maintaining internal systems and documentation for rights tracking and approvals.
  • Supporting the implementation of risk management protocols across projects.

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years' experience in business affairs, legal, or commercial roles within marketing, advertising, or media production.
  • Strong understanding of IP, licensing, advertising compliance, and talent usage rights.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and commercial issues associated with producing content.
  • Experience of negotiating content contracts and securing competitive terms.
  • Highly business-oriented operating with a commercial approach which enables a quick response to market changes.
  • Adept at dealing with conflicts and helping devise solutions where trade-offs involved.
  • Confident in communicating with legal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Able to translate legal jargon into plain, actionable language for non-legal colleagues.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
  • Legal qualifications will be considered a bonus.
  • A genuine interest in the creative and media industry, and how business affairs help power brilliant work.
