Monkton Prep School is a thriving, co-educational independent prep school dedicated to providing an inspiring and nurturing environment for children aged years. We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic Art & Design Technician to play a crucial role in supporting our Art & Design department.

The key aim of this role is to facilitate the teaching of Art and Design at all levels in the Prep School, with due regard to the health and safety of pupils and staff. As the successful candidate you'll be creative, flexible, with a supportive attitude and a genuine affinity for working in a school community. You'll have proven technical skills and experience across a range of art & design media, with excellent organisational skills and a key eye for detail.

This role would suit a candidate who has experience of design workshops and Art spaces, with an understanding of the health and safety aspects of using hazardous substances and power tools. Experience working in an educational or similar creative environment, particularly with primary/prep school-aged children is a bonus, but not essential.

The salary offered is in accordance with the support staff salary scale.
