Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Groundworks Supervisor located in County Durham. The Groundworks Supervisor will oversee and coordinate groundworks projects, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. They will manage site operations, supervise teams, review project plans, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The role also includes liaising with clients and contractors, solving on-site challenges, and maintaining project quality and budgets.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of groundworks, site supervision, and construction processes
• Proficiency in project planning, coordination, and managing teams effectively
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment and handle multiple priorities
• Experience with construction-specific tools, equipment, and site management software
• Valid certifications, such as a CSCS card or SMSTS/SSSTS accreditation, are advantageous
• Previous experience in supervising groundworks or similar roles
