We require Technical Support Consultants to work within the company's existing in-house Support Team. The Technical Support team provides outstanding quality customer service and technical support to all users within EMEA, for free Reporting directly to the Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent front line customer service and support via phone and email. As part of this you will join one of the three in-house specialist technical teams working either on post production, digital cinema or live product technical support. You will provide personal and friendly troubleshooting and technical advice, on many different Blackmagic products.

Blackmagic offer excellent on-going training and development in all the required skills, product knowledge and technical ability required by the role. This role is entry level and ideal for graduates. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about technology and bring an inquisitive mind, positive attitude and bags of enthusiasm.

Past experience in networking and computer systems is ideal, as well as experience in broadcast or video production and streaming. If you build your own computers, shoot videos, are a streamer or broadcaster then this is ideal. More than just knowing how to use the equipment, an understanding of how it works and what the technical terms mean, and a desire to find out more about that is essential.

The position is office based, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. We are not currently looking to hear from recruiters.

Location

Office based on the Daresbury Sci-Tech Campus, Cheshire

Key areas of responsibility

  • Frontline email and phone technical support on many different video products
  • A high level of customer service to EMEA customer base
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving in a logical manner within a suitable time frame for customers
  • Escalation of more serious matters to the senior team and hands on practical testing and diagnosis

Requirements

  • A strong problem solving mind and deep interest in technology
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with past experience in a customer facing role
  • Understanding of basic terminology around broadcast video and computers
  • Broadcast, post production and AV experience or qualifications a major benefit
