JH Contracts Ltd provides remedial, disrepair, and refurbishment services for major housebuilders, housing associations, retail companies, and property management firms. We are currently seeking an experienced, multi-skilled trade operative for full-time employment in the Midlands. This is a customer-facing role representing both JH Contracts Ltd and our clients, requiring a professional, customer-focused approach. You must be tidy, organised, and respectful when working in customers' homes.

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for a highly skilled tradesperson with proven experience in a similar role. Candidates must be qualified in at least one of the following core trades:

  • Carpentry & Joinery
  • Bathroom fitting & tiling
  • Painting & decorating
  • Plastering & plaster patching
  • Plumbing

Key Responsibilities

As a Multi-Skilled Trade Operative, you will carry out remedial, disrepair, and refurbishment work in occupied new-build properties. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • 1st and 2nd fix joinery
  • Diagnosing and rectifying creaking floors
  • Installing external doors and frames
  • Bathroom refits
  • Plaster patching
  • Painting and decorating
  • Sealant application

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the company van, ensuring stock levels are replenished, and completing job sheets promptly.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will: Have a portfolio of work demonstrating relevant skills Be self-motivated, able to work independently and solve problems effectively Possess strong attention to detail Hold a Full UK driving licenceand a CSCS card
