Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, United Kingdom William Grant & Sons Full time £60,000 - £120,000 per year

The Opportunity

At William Grant & Sons we always do the right thing for our people, for our business, and we do so for the long term. The Internal Audit function provides assurance that our key risks and controls are well understood and are managed well, that our Group codes and policies are being observed and that we support the business in building and strengthening our compliance capabilities. It is also a place where talent thrives and if you are a high-performing and experienced auditor keen to further your career as part of a fast paced and dynamic international business, we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the planning and delivery of internal audits and projects, delivering high quality assurance and developing corrective actions and improvement suggestions, expressed in well-written reports to management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across the Group to instil best practice and improve the control environment and controls and risk capabilities.
  • Support the development of the Internal Audit team through feedback, coaching, and ongoing professional development, and contribute to the development of the function, leading by example in raising the standards of best practice.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience of leading audit and project teams across multiple locations and scope areas. You will be expected to make balanced assessments of available information in reaching objective and commercially relevant conclusions, demonstrating strong judgement, political astuteness, and sensitivity to cultural and organisational diversity. This requires a well-grounded ability to work co-operatively with others while retaining the capacity to form and articulate independent views and opinions.

As a function we are committed to working with and supporting the business through spending time with our colleagues in various locations across the Group, and an ability to travel is therefore an essential aspect of this role.

What can we offer you?

  • Our employees enjoy a generous holiday entitlement and an opportunity to 'buy' or 'sell' some holiday entitlement.
  • Private Healthcare
  • Our employees can join a defined contribution pension plan. Employees contribute either 4% or 5% of salary, the company contributes 8% or 10% depending on the employee contribution. Employee contributions can be made through salary sacrifice.

  • Our Cycle to Work scheme allows you to hire a bike for an agreed length of time, and then snap it up for a fraction of its original value. All while making savings (at least 25%) and spreading the cost.
  • Every employee has the opportunity to claim up to £1,000 per year for a charity or charities for which they have raised money, volunteered their time or personally donated.
  • Learning resources to help you be your best self.
