Responsibilities will include:

  • To carry out the installation of mechanical services, including heating, hot water and ventilation systems.

  • General commercial plumbing and pipework installation, including sanitary, drainage, domestic services and heating, and additionally ventilation and air conditioning.

  • Installation of plant, including boilers, pumps, valves, fans, air handling units and fan coil units.

  • Working independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work off detailed drawings and carry out fault finding.

  • To work on twilight shift during term time.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Proven post apprenticeship experience in commercial and industrial installations.

  2. Clean driving licence.

  3. NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or higher essential

  4. Unvented hot water (G3) certification essential

  5. Previous working experience of commercial drainage, domestic services and heating installations essential

  6. Previous knowledge of steel barrel pipework installations essential.

  7. CSCS Card, PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, Manual handling and First Aid – desirable and will be required in the long term.

  8. Read and understand drawings and specifications

  9. Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.

  10. Diagnostic information gathering, analytical & forward thinking with technical expertise

High level security clearances will be required and will include advanced DBS checks
