Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ballet Teacher to join our dance faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in classical ballet technique, the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and levels, and a commitment to fostering a positive, disciplined, and creative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct ballet classes for [children, teens, adults, beginners to advanced levels].
  • Teach proper ballet technique, terminology, posture, alignment, and musicality.
  • Choreograph and rehearse routines for recitals, competitions, or performances.
  • Provide constructive feedback and individual corrections to help students improve.
  • Ensure student safety and injury prevention through proper warm-ups and technique.
  • Prepare students for exams, auditions, or competitions (if applicable).
  • Maintain class discipline and a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, recitals, events, and studio activities.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and pedagogical approaches in ballet.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching ballet to various age groups and levels.
  • Formal training in classical ballet (e.g., RAD, Vaganova, Cecchetti, or equivalent).
  • Degree or certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and nurturing young dancers.
  • Ability to choreograph and stage performances.
  • First aid or CPR certification (preferred).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£25.00 per hour
