Network Optimization Engineer

As a Network Optimization Engineer at Nokia, you'll enhance mature wireless networks across Europe alongside a dynamic team of experts. Your focus will be on end-to-end optimization, including capacity, architecture, and performance analysis. Collaborating closely, you'll conduct root cause analyses and implement best practices post-launch to meet evolving customer needs. You'll directly engage with customers, offering consultative insights on 4G and 5G technologies, using cutting-edge tools to tackle complex challenges.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end optimization of mature wireless networks across Europe, enhancing capacity and architecture, and conducting root cause analyses to identify and solve performance issues for seamless post-launch operations.
- Collaborate with experts to promote continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Engage directly with customers, providing insights on 4G and 5G technologies and industry best practices.
- Utilize cutting-edge tools and methodologies to solve complex network performance challenges effectively.
- Drive customer satisfaction by enhancing network performance and delivering innovative services.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that empower Nokia as a leader in high-quality network services.

You have:
- Good understanding of 5G FR1 NSA/SA, 5G FR2, and LTE architecture
- Knowledge of Nokia RRM, features, and parameters
- Experience with TCP packet analysis using Wireshark or similar tools
- Ability to analyze Nokia internal syslogs and eNB/gNB logs
- Understanding of Benchmarking methodologies
- Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to ever-changing market requirements
- Demonstrated experience with 5G & LTE End-to-End optimization projects
It would be nice if you also had:
- Ability to analyze EMIL, TTI Traces for quick troubleshooting and R&D analysis, along with exposure to logging tools (QXDM, XCAL, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of National Benchmarking (Umlaut, ARCEP) methodology and comfort with tools like ATOLL, RNP9955, ACTIX, NEMO, & LTE PAT
- Nokia Certified Solutions Specialist in Network Performance Services - 5G Radio Network Optimization, coupled with Nokia ORAN/VRAN experience
- Multivendor (Huawei, Ericsson, ZTE) to Nokia swap experience, including KPI and Feature mapping
