Non-Working Supervisor – Fire Stopping, Fire Doors

Overview

Cura is seeking a reliable and experienced Non-Working Supervisor with a background in fire stopping, fire doors, and general building works to join our team. This role will involve supervising both night shifts and day works, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of operatives, typically up to 15 per shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate fire stopping and fire door installation teams.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and other onsite stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Use systems such as Bolster and Onetrace for reporting and project management.
  • Carry out toolbox talks and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Book deliveries and arrange access passes where required.
  • Provide daily reports to the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within passive fire protection, fire doors, or general building works.
  • Relevant qualifications including a CSCS card and an NVQ in a construction-related discipline.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • SSSTS is essential; SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems, including client portals and Microsoft applications. Experience with Bolster and Onetrace is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work night shifts as required and effectively manage teams.
