Job Title: Toolmaker / Machinist
Location: Peterborough
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Contract
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker / Machinist to join our expanding precision engineering team in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience, preferably with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, and a solid understanding of CAD/CAM and mechanical fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme and operate CNC milling machines.
- Design, modify, and develop components using CAD software.
- Undertake fabrication activities including welding and assembly.
- Diagnose and maintain PLC systems.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in CNC machining using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (preferred).
- Strong mechanical and fabrication skills.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD applications.
