Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the Assistant Manager will support the successful running of the whole Food Beverage offering within the hotel.

Your Job

• Assist the FB Manager in leading the FB department and executing strategies to achieve goals.
• People leadership, including recruiting, retaining and developing employees.
• Set targets for the FB team in line with the overall departmental and hotel strategy.
• Support/oversee events in the hotel to ensure excellence in service at all times
• Assist in the overall running of the hotel during duty manager shifts. This includes assuming full responsibility in the absence of General Manager.
• To have a full understanding of the hotels' fire procedures to ensure safety of all staff and guests at all times.
• Duties to include: Assisting reception with departures and arrivals.
• Ensuring the safety and security of staff and guests alike. Other duties as per the duty manager checklist.
• To take ownership of any complaints received while on duty

What You'll Need

• Experience in a Food Beverage management role in a leading hotel.
• Experience in conferences and events is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent Leadership skills.
• Experience in recruiting and developing employees.
• High standards and attention to detail.
• An excellent focus on our customers.
