Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Linen Porter to join our team part-time, in Woking to support weekend housekeeping operations by managing linen distribution, collection, and storage across the site, ensuring smooth service delivery and high cleanliness standards and contribute to our mission of delivering high standards of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure the efficient collection, distribution, and storage of linen across the site, supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

• Deliver clean linen to housekeeping stations and guest rooms as required.
• Gather used linen from rooms, trolleys, and laundry chutes for processing.
• Separate linen by type, condition and wash requirement
• Monitor linen levels and report shortages or damages to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Assist with sending and receiving linen from external laundry services.
• Keep linen rooms tidy, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist with unpacking and sorting deliveries from external laundry providers
• Support housekeeping staff with ad hoc tasks such as replenishing amenities or moving supplies
• Comply with health and safety procedures, including manual handling and infection control
• Assist room attendants with linen-related tasks during peak hours.
• Maintain accurate logs of linen usage and deliveries.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly
• Uphold site security and confidentiality standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or manual linen handling roles

• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads safely

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Understanding of hygiene and safety protocols in hospitality environments
