Are you a passionate and reliable chef who enjoys preparing nutritious meals that truly make a difference?
We are a friendly 15-bed residential care home in Southend-on-Sea, and we're looking for a Chef to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Chef and report to the Registered Manager, playing a key part in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents.
Your Role Will Include:
Assisting in the preparation and cooking of daily meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Supporting the Senior Chef in planning menus and ensuring variety and nutrition.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
Monitoring stock levels and helping with ordering as needed.
Collaborating with care staff to ensure positive mealtime experiences for residents.
About You:
Experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a care or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of specialist dietary needs (e.g. soft diets, diabetes-friendly meals).
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher).
A team player with a caring attitude and a passion for cooking.
Reliable, organised, and able to follow guidance from the Senior Chef and Manager.
