Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children within a nurturing and safe environment. Duties

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
  • Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with nursery policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily routines.
  • Support colleagues in organising the nursery environment to ensure it is safe, stimulating, and well-maintained.
  • Assist with the planning of educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, including hygiene protocols and safeguarding procedures.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Previous nursery experience demonstrating the ability to deliver engaging activities tailored to various age groups.
  • Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
