In line with the Government's Shared Services Strategy, the Matrix Programme is intending to deliver modern, cost-effective and scalable shared business services to nine departments (the Policy Cluster), with UKSBS as the provider, flexibly meeting changing Government requirements, and driving innovation to optimise efficiencies and enhance user experience. The Programme will also implement a new modern SaaS ERP platform, from which UKSBS can deliver these services, driving harmonisation and significant business change across the Departments. This is a large, complex multi-year programme.

We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist to understand the training requirements, construct and author training material, along with the ability to deliver the materials across a range of differing operational team members. As the role will be implementing the training of an exciting new service, the successful applicant will need to ensure alignment to the business strategy and service deliverables

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the planning of a training delivery programme and deliver against planned expectations

  • Delivery of training to a range of differing operational team members via in person and online training methods 

  • Construct a training library of material to meet delivery of the training needs

  • Author and construct the training material with adherence to required quality and governance standards

  • Support the determination of the governance structure and plan of training materials, with execution of the required governance standards

  • Manage stakeholder relationships with regular meeting cadence and structure to ensure stakeholder confidence

  • Support the determination, documentation and execution of training quality assurance, with regular reporting as per governance standards

  • Inclusion of all key business strategy messages into training material to ensure audience understanding and engagement

  • Build regular review cycles of materials, to ensure continuous improvement and ensure incorporation of the Neo service evolution

To be considered for the role, you will need the following:

  • Proven experience within a training role, to include planning and delivering training programmes, with working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Knowledge/experience in providing L&D/training services to external customers,
  • A track reord of alignig training delivery with business strategy and service deliverables

  • Previous experience of authoring, constructing, and maintaining training materials to quality and governance standards

  • Capability to build and manage a training library and ensure continuous improvement

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills

  • Skilled in embedding strategic business messages into training content for audience engagement

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and planning skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience in quality assurance and governance of training materials

  • Experience in financial data management related to training services would be highly desirable
