The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team are looking for a Manager to expand our delivery capacity to serve a growing pipeline of opportunities.

The EPM capability within our Corporate Services and People Consulting business specialises in delivering large scale Techno-Functional transformation initiatives and supporting CFOs/ CXOs on a wide range of issues. Our Enterprise Performance Management practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works with leading Sectors and Markets, focusing on understanding the core issues and opportunities, in order to deliver technology led value-adding change across their functions.

Client Delivery: Successful candidates are expected to independently lead strategic transformation engagements or multiple workstreams in large-scale transformation projects comprising of 3-5+ members. They will also be responsible for undertaking business and practice development initiatives. They will be responsible for managing the quality and timely delivery of specified artefacts, and may often need to source and identify cross-functional team members themselves to support them.

Stakeholder Management: Our clients continually challenge us to ensure we maintain our high standards. Candidates are expected to lead daily, weekly and monthly interactions with clients and senior stakeholders. Ideally, lead discussions, and articulate options and recommendations to complex issues. Confidently discuss technical and non-technical issues on a daily basis. Where necessary, escalate clearly defined risks and issues to Engagement Leaders when they arise.

SAP Analytics and Cloud (SAC) Solution Expertise: Demonstrate application knowledge of SAC technology from architecture design, infrastructure setup, guiding the functional design to managing platform upgrades and implementation across range of EPM use cases for the client. Additionally, support as the SAC SME for any GTM propositions and asset development. It will be expected from the candidate to develop business and working relationship with SAP's key stakeholders for ongoing delivery support as well as identify business opportunities/ seek partnership-driven market expansion.

Proposition and Solution Expertise: Demonstrate application knowledge of SAP Analytics and Cloud (SAC) for managing the EPM delivery lifecycle across the multiple use cases for the client. Additionally, support as a vendor alliance SME for any GTM propositions and asset development will be relevant. Typical EPM proposition and client problems revolve around Target Operating Model design across:

  • Planning Budgeting and Forecasting,
  • Benefits/ Value realisation and tracking,
  • Cost management (cost reduction, allocation & attribution)
  • Investment/ change portfolio management

Successful candidates should have EPM experience, and in particular knowledge/experience of consulting to design/deliver solutions which have assisted in driving the client's strategy. They should also be able to demonstrate the following:

Client Delivery

  • Mobilising and leading client delivery on major and complex transformation programmes/projects
  • Expertise and knowledge on SAC product functionalities and limitations to guide the art of possible design.
  • Lead solution and technical design oversight to ensure standardisation and optimisation across multiple design elements to drive integrated planning and analytics.
  • Provide view of design trade-off mapped with system performance parameters to guide design optimisations.
  • Lead integrations architecture – both inbound and outbound pipes including master data management, interfaces, and transformations
  • Liaise with client technology and infrastructure teams to drive conversations on platform setup and guide decisions around infra setup (including tenet size, license requirements, environments etc.)
  • Partner with SAP KMPs to fast-track agile support and be abreast of new releases/ patch upgrades.
  • Ability to map security design to the functional process and client's governance controls.
  • Troubleshoot problems and fixes for bugs identified across testing cycles/ environments and Go-Live in an agile manner.
  • Manage large teams of 5+ resources with varied skills and across geographies on end-to-end implementation / complex transformation programmes.
  • Provide structure and direction to the delivery of engagement activities.
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with senior Client stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the Client and KPMG staff on engagements.
  • Leading development of client solutions and propositions, including embedding these within technology applications
  • Analysis of business drivers of Financial Services firms to enable the design of fit for purpose Client solutions.
  • Ownership and review of analysis and reports delivered to Clients.

Business Development

  • The candidate will need to build and leverage both internal and external relationships to support Partners and Directors in driving business development and sales activities
  • Lead on request for proposals (RFPs) to Client opportunities
  • Lead teams to develop innovative and Client focused go-to-market sales propositions on SAC.
  • Build credibility and relationships in the market
  • Cross-partner as SAC SME to enable business cross-sell conversations and market expansions for brand KPMG.
  • Drive insights for SAC participation for vendor selection panels
  • Seek to cross-sell and bring opportunities to other part of the firm where appropriate

Practice Development

  • Strengthen strategic alliance with SAP
  • Support senior management with internal operational responsibilities for the team
  • Liaise with SAP for upskill opportunities through virtual or classroom initiatives including certification programs
  • Lead practice development initiatives (that grow and promote the EPM practice internally and externally) and provide guidance to junior members of the team on these initiatives

People Management

  • Lead on formal training, knowledge sharing, networking activities for the team
  • Act as informal career development mentor and coach for junior members of the team

Manage talent network to identify SAC or allied expertise for potential hiring to drive value synergies
