Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of packages, including heavy lifting as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and confirming receipt of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is an advantage.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, including knowledge of inventory management.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and customers.

  • this isn't a multi drop role but will require early starts occasionally
  • the role would suit a experience driver with good knowledge of the UK roads and networks
  • up to 6 penalty points on licence
  • 28 days holidays with average earning paid on leave time
  • guaranteed a minimum 45 hours per week
  • van allowed home if parked in safe environment
  • uniform supplied
